SECURE CHATTING MENGGUNAKAN ALGORITMA AES DAN BLOCKCHAIN BERBASIS MOBILE
This study proposes securing messages using the AES algorithm and blockchain to secure text messages in chatting application. AES algorithm is a symmetric algorithm with advantages in the speed of the encryption and decryption process being faster than the asymmetric algorithm and blockchain as data security in the message sending process with a security system that can only append data and cannot be changed. Therefore, speed and security can be achieved using AES and blockchain to secure text messages from cybercrime. The analytical method used to obtain the study results is the avalanche effect method and processing time measurement. Based on the results of the study, the results obtained from the processing time of the message sending process using blockchain and AES algorithm with an average of overall processing time is 33.59 ms. The Avalanche Effect value obtained from the AES algorithm is 50% for character lengths up to 16 characters, and avalanche Effect value is below 50% for character lengths of more than 16 characters. Based on the test’s results, with AES algorithm that can secure the text message and blockchain that able to help store the message data, this methods combination has succeeded in securing text messages in messaging applications.
