PENGARUH UKURAN PARTIKEL BAHAN PENGISI TERHADAP KEKERASAN RESIN KOMPOSIT
Resin composite is one of restoration material often be used in dentistry which has some main component, one of that is inorganic filler. There is a correlation between the inorganic filler of resin composite with its mechanical properties, such as hardness. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of filler particle size on resin composite fs microhardness. In this study, it was made 10 cylinder shaped specimens with 6 mm in diameter and 3 mm in thickness for each kind of resin composites that were used: microfill (Filtek Z 100), hybrid (Filtek Z250), and nanofill (Filtek Z350). Each specimens were light cured for 40 seconds and then they were immersed in saline solution for 24 hours. After it was done, the microhardness is measured by using Vlckers Microhardness Tester three times for each sample. The result showed that Vickers hardness number mean of nanofill composite (103,732 ± 4,56846 VHN) was higher than hybrid composite (90,324 ± 2,85404 VHN) and microfill composite (81,662 ± 2,13279 VHN). The data were analyzed with one-way ANOVA and Bonferonni test. The result of one-way ANOVA test for Vickers hardness number of resin composites showed that F
