PERMINTAAN TENAGA KERJA DAN OUTPUT DI INDONESIA: PENDEKATAN SIMULTAN BERDASARKAN POLA PERTANIAN-INDUSTRI-JASA (P-I-J).
This study aims to examine the effect of output and wages on labor absoprtion in the agriculture, industry, and service sectors in Indonesia and to examine whether there is a two-way (simultaneous) effect between output and labor absorption. The data used in this study is secondary data in the form of panel data with time series 2017-2020 and cross-section data of 34 provinces in Indonesia. The analytical method used in this study is a simultaneous approach with a Two Stage Least Squares (2SLS) estimating technique. Based on the regression results, the output variable has a positive and insignificant effect on labor absorption in the agriculture and industry sectors while in the service sector, the output has a positive and significant effect. The wage variable has a negative and insignificant effect in the agriculture and service sectors while in the industry sector it has a positive and insignificant effect. Based on the regression results, it is also known that there is no simultaneous effect between output and labor absorption in the agriculture, industry, and service sectors.
