Swamp land conversion activities took place in Tanjung Senai, Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir. This land conversion can eliminate and damage habitats for living creatures, especially insects of the Order Orthoptera. This study aims to analyze the abundance of Orthoptera insects in the Tanjung Senai swamp area, Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir. This study uses a survey method, which is an exploration carried out to obtain data from each existing station and seek factual information. The results of this study found 3 species, 1 family. Based on the number of species from each location/station, it shows that in ST 1 (Masjid Courtyard) found 3 species, ST 2 (Toll Roadside) found 0 species, ST 3 (people`s coconut garden) found 3 species, ST 4 (Citizen Settlement ) found 3 species, and ST 5 (Natural Swamp) found 0 species of insects Order Orthoptera. Natural swamps are not found in abundance, while swamp land that has been converted into settlements has a high abundance. The abundance of grasshoppers with the highest index or value in the community was at station 1, namely Green Grasshopper (Oxya Servilie) with an index of 68.75 and the lowest index was at stations 2 and 5, namely Construction of toll roads and natural swamps with an index of 0. Average The highest average value of the abundance of the Order Orthoptera was in the stockpile swamp, namely the Green Grasshopper (Oxya Servillie) with an abundance value of 0.53%, but in natural swamps there was no abundance of insects of the Order Orthoptera. The results of the study proved that the conversion of swamp land affected the abundance of Orthoptera insects in the Tanjung Senai swamp area, Indralaya district, Ogan Ilir.
