ABSTRACT Research on the development of LKPD based on a Virtual Laboratory has been carried out PhET on motion kinematics material to improve thinking skills critical students in class X MIPA 5 SMAN 3 Palembang. This research aims to produce valid and practical LKPD. This research is research development using a 4-D model (Four D) consisting of 3 stages include the definition stage, the design stage, and development stage (develop). In this study the development consists of 4 stages but the researchers conducted research up to 3 stages. Instrument The research consisted of a validation sheet and a questionnaire. Based on the results of data analysis that has been done can be concluded as follows: (1) The results of the validation of LKPD obtained validation results with percentages ranging from 89.5% to 97.9% with very valid criteria from content quality, valid from instructional quality and valid from the technical quality. (2) The results of practicality carried out on LKPD indicates that it has met the practical criteria with a percentage ranging from between 91.6% to 100% of the teacher's response questionnaire, while from the response questionnaire students earn percentages ranging from 73.0% to 91.6%. So that This worksheet is very practical and can be used in the learning process. this LKPD designed to the validation stage and the next researcher's practicality can be continue at the effectiveness stage and develop learning worksheets to other material.
