Research on the role of wild peas (Calopogonium mucunoides) in the conservation of beneficial insects around rice fields agroecosystems in Belitang and its contribution to high school biology learning has been carried out. The purpose of this study was to determine the beneficial insect species for the rice field agro-ecosystem in wild peas (C. mucunoides) and to determine the role of wild pea plants in the conservation of beneficial insects in the rice field agro-ecosystem area in Belitang. This study uses a survey method using a roaming technique. Sample collection using pitfall traps, yellow traps, and hand collecting. The results of the study found 7 species of insects that are beneficial to the agro-ecosystem of rice fields. The species found were 174 ants (Dolichoderus thoracicus) as predatory insects, 4 praying mantis (Mantis religiosa) as predatory insects, 18 crickets (Gryllus bimaculatus) as predatory insects, 11 dragonflies (Gomphus flavipes) as predatory insects, 17 butterflies (Junonia atlites) as insect pollinators, 7 wasps (Vespa affinis) as predatory insects and pollinators, 9 ground beetles (Chlaenius femoratus) as predatory insects. The role of wild pea plants as conservation plants as well as insects as a place for nesting, breeding, sheltering, and foraging for food. Information on the role of wild pea plants in the conservation of beneficial insects around rice field agro-ecosystems in Belitang will be contributed to biology subject matter. SMA class X on Ecosystem Basic Competency 3.10 material analyzes ecosystem components and the interactions between these components.
