STIMULATION OF PARENTS TO INSTILL INDEPENDENCE IN CHILDREN AGED (1-3) YEARS OLD IN TANJUNG BATU SEBERANG OGAN ILIR
This study aims to determine the stimulation given by parents to instill the independence of children aged 1-3 years in Tanjung Batu Seberang Ogan Ilir. This research uses descriptive qualitative research with data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis used by the researcher was Miles and Huberman's qualitative data analysis, namely collecting data from interviews, observations and documentation then reducing the data obtained from the field, presenting the data in the form of a short, interesting narrative and using data validity techniques, namely triangulation techniques. The research subjects consisted of 4 parents who had children aged (1-3) years old. The results of this study indicate that parental stimulation to instill independence in children aged (1-2) years is to familiarize children with eating independently using eating utensils that are easy to grip and safe, providing opportunities for children to move freely, training children in toilet training, familiarize children with choosing clothes according to their own wishes, familiarize children with always tidying up toys that have been used. For children aged (2-3) years, namely by familiarizing children to urinate to the toilet, teaching children to always clean things up after use, getting children to eat independently without assistance and giving children the opportunity to choose clothes and wear them themselves by being directed.
