The problem raised in this study is the acquisition of expressive speaking in children aged 4-5 years at TK Sumbangsih Palembang and its implications for learning Indonesian. This research has both academic and practical purposes. The academic goals are to fulfill the requirements to complete studies and get a strata 1 (S1) degree. The practical objectives are to (1) find out expressive speech act in children aged 4-5 years in TK Sumbangsih Palembang, (2) find out the implications of expressive speech act in children aged 4-5 years in TK Sumbangsih to Indonesian language learning. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection in this study used observation techniques and note-taking techniques. The data in this study are in the form of words, phrases, clauses, or sentences spoken by the research subjects. The sources of data in this study were two students at TK Sumbangsih Palembang aged 4 and 5 years. The data analysis process used in this study has 4 stages; (1) identification, (2) classification, (3) interpretation, and (4) reporting. The result of this study indicate the number of speeches is 292 data and its divided based on the grouping of expressive speech act, namely (1) thanking 118 data, (2) pardoning 8 data, (3) congratulating 5 data, (4) blamming 95 data, (5) praising 62 data, and (6) condoling 4 data. The most frequently spoken speech act was thanking with 118 data and the least spoken speech act was condoling with 4 data. The result of this study have implications in learning Indonesian class X with Basic Competence 4.12 regarding constructing problems/issues, angle the views and arguments of several parties, and the conclusions of the debate orally to show the essence of the debate
