KEARIFAN LOKAL DALAM ANTROPONIMI SISTEM PENAMAAN MASYARAKAT TRANSMIGRAN JAWA TENGAH/JAWA TIMUR DI DESA MEKAR JAYA, KECAMATAN KELUANG, KABUPATEN MUSI BANYUASIN SUMATERA SELATAN (KAJIAN ANTROPOLOGI LINGUISTIK) DAN IMPLIKASINYA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA INDONESIA
This research aims to describe the anthroponymic local wisdom of the self-naming system of transmigrants from Central Java/East Java in Mekar Jaya Village, Keluang District, Musi Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra and its implications for learning Indonesian. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The research data are the names of the transmigrants in Mekar Jaya Village. Data collection techniques used are interviews, listen, and take notes. The results of this study are (1) there are three characteristics of the name of the transmigrant community (the number of syllables/words, the pattern of the beginning/end of the name, and the combination of name components); (2) the grammatical meanings that appear are dominated by the combination of honorifics Su-, Sa-, Tu-, acronyms/beheadings, and free morphemes; (3) lexical meaning tends to refer to symbols, markers, or the like; (4) the emerging cultural meanings consist of four categories, namely prayer/hope, warning/remembrance, ideals, and belief/religion; (5) implications for learning Indonesian that students are able to identify and understand information (knowledge and origins) of the self-naming pattern of the Central Java/East Java transmigrants community in Mekar Jaya Village through explanatory texts in oral/written form. The transmigrants community of Central Java/East Java in the Mekar Jaya Village dominantly uses local wisdom in anthroponymy, especially the self-naming system with Javanese terms and values which contain grammatical, lexical, dan cultural meanings.
