The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of the documentary film on the betrayal of the G30S PKI on increasing student character values in PPKn learning at UPT SMA Negeri 22 Ogan Ilir. The research using Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Population in this research all of classes is 161 person with a sample of the experimental class XI science and the control class XI social with cluster technique. Data collection techniques using documentation, interviews, questionnaires. The data analysis technique used the Simple Linear Regression test. Based on the analysis and discussion, it was concluded that there was a significant effect of the documentary film on the betrayal of the G30S PKI on increasing the character values of students in PPKn learning at UPT SMA Negeri 22 Ogan Ilir. It can be seen based on the hypothesis test Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.047 < 0.05 and the correlation is 0.231 so that the conclusion is H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted.
