STUDI KUALITATIF TINGKAT PENCEMARAN EMISI GAS NO2 DI WILAYAH KOTA PALEMBANG DENGAN LICHEN SEBAGAI BIOINDIKATOR DAN SUMBANGANNYA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI SMA.
This study aims to determine and describe the level of air pollution caused by vehicle emissions in Palembang. This research was conducted descriptively using the Index of Atmospheric Purity (IAP) as a calculation method. The parameters of vehicle emissions that are being measured are NO2 in the ambient air. The scope of research was three roads with traffic and one conservation forest area as a control, which is divided into four sampling stations. The determination of sampling stations is based on differences in traffic density per hour (vehicles/hour/lane). The bioindicator samples used in this study were corticolous lichens attached to the trees. The NO2 sample is carried out by the Passive Sampler method and analyzed spectrophotometrically using the Griess Saltzman method. The results showed that the four sampling stations had different levels of pollution, etching being: station 1 with the lowest pollution level (IAP = 38.15), station 2 with a moderate level of pollution (IAP = 25.71), station 3 with a high level of pollution (IAP = 21.44), and station 4 with a high level of pollution (IAP = 17.13). The results of this study can be used as a source of learning contextual material in the form of non-experimental student worksheets (LKPD) about the role of lichen as a bioindicator of air pollution in basic competence 3.11, namely "Analyzing data on environmental changes, their causes and impacts on life".
