Malocclusion is the irregularity of the teeth beyond the normal range which is slill acceptable. Most cases of malocclusion is not treated properly due to refusal of the patient and the parents, lack of human resources, lack of knowledge of malocclusion, and other factors, such as socio-demographic status. Parents’ knowledge is very important in shaping behavior that supports the teeth and oral care in children. Knowledge itself is influenced by two factors, namely the level of education and family income. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the parents’ knowledge of malocclusion with education level and family income. The research method used was analytic-descriptive cross sectional approach. The results of 222 samples showed that the average score of parents’ knowledge of malocclusion is 10,48 ± 3,6. The x2 value of chi-square test between the parents ’ knowledge of malocclusion with education level is 15,959. While the X2 value of chi-square test between the parents’ knowledge of malocclusion with family income is 12,930. The results of this study showed a significant relationship between the parents ’ knowledge of malocclusion with education level and family income.
