Tooth paste containing herbal ingridients can be an alternative to reduce the symptoms of gingivitis. One of the herbal ingridients which recently studied by scientists is that Aloe vera. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of a toothpaste that contains Aloe vera t o gingivitis. Methods of research conducted on 32 samples consisting students of SDN 113 aged 10 to 11 years who comprised the 16 students t o the treatment group and 16 students t o the control group. PBI scores were measured before and after treatment on the first day, then measured again on day seven. The results were analyzed using paired T test for differences in each group of samples. In the treatment group gained a probability value for 0000 (p 0.05). This result shows that there are significant differences for the treatment group and there are no significant differences for the control group.
