Bananas (Musa paradisiaca L) are in demand by the indonesian population, both from the upper class to the lower class. This happens because bananas have a sweet taste, soft texture, contain sugar and are rich in nutrients. This study was conducted to determine the types of wild plants that have the potential to be refugia, provide information on the types of insects that have the potential to be predatory insects, analyze what is the index of insect diversity and analyze the index of associations between potential plants and insects that have the potential to be predators in the Banana Plantation Talang Betutu Palembang. This research was conducted from May 2022 to July 2022 at the Talang Betutu banana plantation in Palembang, South Sumatra. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. Data samples are taken using the exploration method, that is, observation or sampling directly from the observation site. The results of the research found 23 species of wild plants that can have the potential to be refugia plants. There are 26 types of insects and their relatives that have the potential to be predatory insects. There are 14 types of insects of its relatives found on banana plants in the Banana Grove of Talang Betutu in Palembang. The result of the calculation of the value of the insect diversity index in the banana plantation of Palembang city is 2,383. This means that the diversity of insect species in the Talang Betutu banana garden in Palembang city is moderate. The results of the calculation of associations between plants that have the potential to be refugia with insects and their relatives who function as predators show the occurrence of associations with known X2 counts < X2 table. The results of the study were contributed in the form of LKPD on Basic Competencies 3.9 and 4.9 in the subject of High School Biology class X.
