The use of natural ingredients as anesthetics is increasingly being developed and applied in the handling of aquatic biota. Clove oil is one of the easily available and environmentally friendly anesthetic ingredients. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving clove oil and the right concentration as an anesthetic in the transportation of kissing gourami with a closed system. This research was conducted at the Fisheries Basic Laboratory, Aquaculture Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. This research was conducted in September - October 2021. This study Completely Randomized Factorial Design (CRFD) used 6 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments used were TM10: Transportation without clove oil with a stocking density of 10 individuals, TM12: Transportation without clove oil with a stocking density of 12 individuals, TM14: Transportation without clove oil with a stocking density of 14 individuals, DM10: Transportation of clove oil with a stocking density of 10 individuals. DM12: Transportation of clove oil with a stocking density of 12 individuals, DM14: Transportation of clove oil with a stocking density of 14 individuals. Parameters observed were survival, blood glucose levels, duration of fainting, duration of fainting and recovery time. The results of the study to determine the anesthetic power of EC-100 10 minutes were found at a concentration of 0.026 ml L-1. The survival rate of aquaculture fish in post-transportation was 100%, namely in the TM10, TM12 and DM10 treatments. Post-transported fish blood glucose levels were still in the normal range, found in DM10 treatment, which was 82 mg dL-1. The results of water quality measurements posttransportation and recovery showed that the water quality was still within the tolerance limits for kissing gourami.
