This research is an experimental study that examines the effect of the application of the guessing learning model on improving the learning outcomes of students in class XI Social Sccience 2 at Senior High School 1 South Indralaya. The formulation of the problem in this study tries to describe the effect of the application of the guessing learning model on student learning outcomes in History subjects, as well as writing down student learning outcomes after the application of the guessing learning model. This study aims to describe how much influence the guessing learning model has on student learning outcomes in History subjects. The research method used is quasi-experimental with data collection techniques through test instruments. Simple regression analysis was used as a data analysis technique. The results showed that the application of the guessing learning model had positive and significant effect on the learning outcomes of students in class XI Social Science 2 in History subjects. The results of the simple regression test resulted in the value of Fcount > Ftable, which was 35,36 > 4.35 and the average value of the pretest < the average value of the posttest, which was 56.13 < 80.45. Based on the test results, it can be concluded that the guessing learning model has a positive effect on the learning outcomes of students in class XI Social Science 2 in the subject of History. The weakness in implementing learning using the guessing learning model is that it requires careful preparation for a long time. Differences in student learning styles are also an obstacle in the application of the guessing learning model that needs to be done cooperatively, because some students are more comfortable studying individually than in groups.
