The purpose of this study was to determine, obtain information and describe the management of the biology laboratory at SMA Ogan Ilir Regency. This research was conducted for eight months. The method used is descriptive method. The sample in this study was determined by the Stratified Proportional Random Sampling technique in seven high schools in Ogan Ilir Regency. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, questionnaires from the head of the laboratory and the laboratory assistant. The results showed that the management of the biology laboratory was based on observations on infrastructure indicators (74%), facilities (61%), environmental conditions (75%). Based on a questionnaire on indicators of facilities and infrastructure (90%), qualifications of personnel (87%), environmental conditions (97%), administrative completeness (92%), work safety and completeness of personal protective equipment (97%). This research is very important to carry out because the management of the biology laboratory at SMA Ogan Ilir Regency is not optimal because it is not in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of National Education. The management of this biology laboratory will affect the practical activities and psychomotor abilities of students. It can be concluded that the management of the biology laboratory at SMA Ogan Ilir Regency by observation is included in the complete category (63%), the questionnaire category is very good (93%).
