PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN VITAMIN E TERHADAP PERFORMA PRODUKSI AYAM MERAWANG
The aim of this study was to determine the effect of vitamin E supplementation on the production performance of Merawang chicken. The study was conducted using 80 Merawang chickens and carried out for 2 months in the experimental poultry cage in Permata Baru Village, North Indralaya District, OganIlir Regency. The design used in this experiment was the Latin Square Design which consisted of 4 treatments and 4 replications. which, each treatment was as follows: P0 (without vitamin E), P1 (supplementation of 100 ppm vitamin E in the ration), P2 (supplementation of 200 ppm vitamin E in the ration), and P3 (supplementation of 300 ppm vitamin E in the ration).The observed variables were ration consumption, hen day production, and feed conversion ratio. As for the data obtained, if there is a significant difference, it is continued with the Duncan Multiple Range Test. The results showed that the addition of vitamin E supplementation in the ration had a significant effect (P0.05) on the ration consumption of Merawang chickens. The conclusion of this study was that the addition of vitamin E supplementation with a dose of 300 ppm did not have a bad effect on ration consumption, hen day production, and ration conversion in Merawang chickens.
