PENGARUH KECEPATAN PUTARAN PISAU DAN KADAR AIR KENTANG TERHADAP KINERJA MESIN PERAJANG KERIPIK
This study aims to determine the effect of the moisture content of the material on the material and the blade rotation speed on the performance of the chip chopper machine. This research was carried out from March to May 2022 at the Machinery, Workshop and Soil and Water Engineering Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya, South Sumatra. The method used in this research was a Factorial Randomized Block Design (FRBD) with two research factors, namely the moisture content of the material and the speed of rotation of the blade with three treatment levels, namely the speed of 600 rpm, 700 rpm and 800 rpm and each treatment interaction was repeated three times. The parameters of this research are the effective capacity of the machine, the efficiency of the chopping machine, the uniformity of the chopping results, and the results of the chopping thickness. The results of this study indicated that the highest effective capacity of the machine was found in the interaction of the treatment with a moisture content of 80% and a blade rotation speed of 800 rpm (A1B3), which is 118.94 kg/hour. For the treatment the highest efficiency of slicing was the interaction of the treatment with 80% moisture content and 800 rpm blade rotation speed (A1B3), which was 97.49%. For the average percentage of interaction treatment, the highest uniformity of chopping results was in the interaction of the treatment with a moisture content of 60% and a blade rotation speed of 800 rpm (A3B3), which was 45.77%. For the treatment of the highest thickness of the chopping results at the interaction treatment of 80% moisture content and 700 rpm rotation speed (A1B2) which is equal to 1.37 mm.
