This study aims to determine the factors that cause the community to maintain the beseram tradition in Remanam Jaya Village, Warkuk Ranau Selatan District. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method of sampling technique in this study is a purposive sampling technique involving 9 informants. Data collection techniques in this study used documentation, interviews and observation techniques. The validity tests of the data used in this study include the credibility test, transferability test, debendability test, and confirmability test. From the results of this study it was found that the factors that caused the community to maintain the beseram tradition were based on four factors, namely the traditional action factor that the beseram tradition was a hereditary tradition, the affective action factor which showed the community's concern for customs, the instrumental action factor aimed at honoring the ancestors, and factors of action, rationality, beliefs and social values contained in the beseram tradition, namely the value of togetherness, the value of harmony, the value of sharing among others.
