IDENTIFIKASI KARAKTERISTIK MORFOLOGI SERBUK SARI TUM-BUHAN SUKU ASTERACEAE DAN SUMBANGANNYA PADA PEM-BELAJARAN BIOLOGI SMA KELAS X
This study aims to determine the morphology of pollen in plants of the Asteraceae tribe. This research method is a descriptive method by describing the morphology of Asteraceae pollen. This study used the acetolysis method, observed with a light microscope at 1000x magnification. The research sample on the Asteraceae tribe was represented by the Helianthe tribe, namely Helianthus annuus, Zinnia elegans, Cosmos sulphureus, Tridax procumbens, Tithonia diversifolia, and Tithonia rotundifolia. The uniqueness of the Asteraceae plant lies in its inflorescence, which is composed of several flowers that resemble a cup. Cup flowers consist of ribbon flowers and tube flowers. The observed characters were shape based on P/E index, unit, size, polar and equatorial ap-pearance, type, class, number, position, symmetry, polarity and exine ornamentation. The results of this study showed that six types of plants of the Asteraceae tribe were formed, namely oblate spheroidal, suboblate and prolate spheroidal, unit monad, polar circular and semi-angular shape, equatorial circular shape, pollen size classified as mediae (medium), porous type, number of apertures 3, tricolporate aperture class, zonoaperture position, radial symmetry, radial polarity, chinate (spiked) exine ornamentation. The results of this study will be contributed to the learning of Biology in high school class X on Basic Competence 3.3 Principles of classifi-cation of living things in five kingdoms in the form of learning tools. The contribution in this study was in the form of a booklet with a score of 0.95, in accordance with the criteria that were declared valid. Key words : Morphology, pollen, Asteraceae, Helianthe, Cup flower
