This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the filial school program in reducing the school dropout in the city of Palembang. This study uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. Total sampling/observation unit in this study is 26 people, which is also the number population. The small number of population were taken all as samples using non probability sampling method. Data collection techniques used are documentation, questionnaires, and interviews. In order to determine the effectiveness of the filial school program in reducing the number of street children in the city of Palembang, data and statistical analysis techniques were used based on score interpretation criteria which intervals are: 0%-20% (very) 21%-40% (weak), 41%-60% ( moderate), 61%-80% (strong), 81%-100% (very strong). From the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the filial school program is implemented effectively in reducing the number of street dropouts in Palembang City with an average of 78,40%.
