PENGARUH PEMBERIAN SARI BUAH BELIMBING WULUH (Averrhoa bilimbi L.) TERHADAP PERSENTASE BOBOT ORGAN DALAM AYAM KAMPUNG

This study aims to determine the effect of addition wuluh starfruit (Averrhoa bilimbi L) juice on internal organs percentage of internal organs of local chickens. The research was carried out from May to September 2021 in the experimental enclosure of the Animal Husbandry Study Program, Departemen of Animal Husbandry Technology and Industry, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The research design method applied was a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments and 4 replications. The treatment given was in the form of mixing wuluh starfruit juice in drinking water with several dosage levels, which consisted of P0 (300 ml dringking water without treatment/control), P1 (300 ml dringking water + wuluh starfruit juice 4%), P2 (300 ml dringking water + wuluh starfruit juice 6%), P3 (300 ml dringking water + wuluh starfruit juice 8%), P4 (300 ml dringking water + wuluh starfruit juice 10%). The research parameters were liver, pancreas, spleen, bile, and gizzard of local chickens. The results showed that the treatment with wuluh starfruit juice was not significantly different (P > 0,05) on the percentage of liver, pancreas, spleen, bile, and gizzard of local chickens. The conclusion of the study showed that giving of wuluh starfruit up to 105 during 10 weeks of rearing in local chickens had not been able to increase the weight of internal organs (pancreas, bile, and gizzard) optimally, while the liver and spleen remained normal.
