FERTILISASI SEMEN BEKU HASIL SEXING TANPA SENTRIFUGASI KROMOSOM X DAN Y MENGGUNAKAN METODE INSEMINASI BUATAN (IB) PADA SAPI SIMMENTAL
This study aims to determine the fertilization of frozen semen resulting from sexing without centrifugation with X and Y chromosomes using the artificial insemination (ib) method in simmental cattle. This research was carried out from October to January 2022 at the Laboratory of Animal Reproduction and Health in the Artificial Insemination Center of the Sembawa Region This research was conducted using the experimental method with 3 treatments and 5 replications. P0 = Unisex (non sexing or without sexing) P1 = Straw Sexing Spermatozoa X P2 = Straw Sexing Spermatozoa Y. The results showed that the NRR value in treatment P0 was better when compared to P1 and P2, namely P0 = 80%, P1 = 40% and P2 = 60%. The C/R value is P0= 80% P1= 40% P2= 60% and the SC value is P0= 1.25 P1= 2.5 P2= 1.66. The quality of the NRR, C/R and SC values in non-sexed sperm is better when compared to sexing sperm, this is because non-sexing sperm has a mortality rate that is in accordance with SNI, namely 40%, while the sperm from sexing is damaged a lot so that the sperm motility is low this is because the incubation time is too long, causing a decrease in the motility of spermatozoa, In addition, because the spermatozoa were in the medium containing BSA for more than four hours, exposure of the spermatozoa to the medium containing BSA for more than four hours could cause capacitation and premature acrosome reactions.
