EFISIENSI SALURAN PEMASARAN GAMBIR (UNCARIA GAMBIR ROXB.) DI DESA TOMAN KECAMATAN BABAT TOMAN KABUPATEN MUSI BANYUASIN
The purpose of this research was identifying marketing channels that occur in gambir farming in Toman Village, Babat Toman District, identify the market structure that occurs in the marketing of gambir in Toman Village Babat Toman District, analyzing marketing efficiency which consists of marketing margin, farmer's share, and profit ratio on marketing of gambir in Toman Village Babat Toman District. The selection of this location was done deliberately with the consideration that this location is the only village in South Sumatra Province that cultivates gambier. Data collection was carried out in January 2022. The research method used was a survey method. The sampling method used is census sampling and snowball sampling. Data processing methods in descriptive analysis and contribution analysis are presented in tabulation of data processing with Microsoft Excel. The results of this study indicate that there are two patterns of marketing channels for gambir in Toman Village, namely: 1) Farmers - Collecting Traders - Retailers - Consumers and 2) Farmers - Collecting Traders - Retailers Out of Town - Consumers Out of Town. The market structure formed in the marketing of gambir sap to oligopsony markets at the farmer level and oligopoly markets at the level of collectors and retailers. Marketing channel I has a marketing margin of IDR 51,000.00/kg, a farmer's share percentage of 51.42%, and a profit-to-cost ratio of 14.03. Marketing channel II has a marketing margin of IDR 67,000.00/kg, a farmer's share percentage of 48.72%, and a profit-to-cost ratio of 19.30. It can be concluded that marketing channel I is more efficient than marketing channel II.
