KEMAMPUAN PENALARAN MATEMATIS SISWA KELAS VII MELALUI PENERAPAN PEMBELAJARAN PEMODELAN MATEMATIKA BERBANTUAN DIGITAL STORY TELLING
This study aims to describe students' mathematical reasoning abilities after being given learning through the application of learning mathematical modeling assisted story telling. The research subjects selected were students of class VII.A in SMP Xaverius 1 Palembang. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, written tests, and interviews. Researchers used integer material. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that for this mathematical reasoning ability, most students have been able to meet the indicators of presenting written mathematical statements. In this study, students' mathematical reasoning abilities can be categorized into high and medium mathematical reasoning abilities. These results can be seen from the percentage of the appearance of indicators of students' mathematical ability. The indicator that often appears is investigating mathematical conjectures with a 100% occurrence percentage, after that 92% for indicators making mathematical guesses, 81% for indicators developing mathematical arguments, then indicators using various types of reasoning and proof methods as much as 75%, while the most Rarely occurs is evaluating mathematical arguments and evidence by 74%. With regard to digital story telling that is applied when learning mathematics, it makes students more interested in participating in the learning process so that students' mathematical reasoning can be used properly. Video digital story telling helps students identify the information presented, so that in solving problems students are not fixated on formulas.
