PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN TEPUNG MAGGOT BSF (Hermetia illucens) TERHADAP KECERNAAN PROTEIN KASAR DAN SERAT KASAR ITIK PEKING
This study aims to determine the effect of using BSF maggot flour (Hermetia illucens) on the digestibility of crude protein and crude fiber of Peking duck. This research was carried out from August to November 2021 in the Poultry Experiment Cage of Animal Husbandry Study Program and Laboratory of Nutrition and Animal Feed at the Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. In this study, the design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments and 4 replications using maggot flour as a treatment that had been mixed into the ration. The composition of the research treatments were: P0 without using BSF Maggot Flour (Control), P1 (Ration with the addition of 5% maggot flour), P2 (Ration with the addition of 10% maggot flour), P3 (Ration with the addition of 15% maggot flour), P4 (Ration with the addition of 20% maggot flour). The parameters observed in this study were crude protein digestibility and crude fiber digestibility. Based on the results of the study, it was shown that the use of alternative feed of BSF maggot flour was not significantly different from the digestibility of crude protein and digestibility of crude fiber. This it can be concluded that the use of BSF maggot flour (Hermetia illucens) up to a level of 20% has not been able to increase of crude protein digestibility and crude fiber of Peking duck.
