PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL PORANG (Amorphophallus muelleri L.) ASAL BIJI KATAK YANG DIBERI KALIUM DENGAN DOSIS BERBEDA PADA POLIKULTUR DENGAN TANAMAN KARET (Hevea brasiliensis Muell.Arg.)
This study aimed to study the growth and yield of porang (Amorphophallus muelleri L.) from bullbil given different doses of potassium in polyculture system with rubber plants (Hevea brasiliensis Muell. Arg.). This research was conducted in the Research Station of The Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Ogan Ilir regency 3o13’20.3”S 104o38’42.6”E, South Sumatra, and was carried out from February to June 2021. The study used randomized block design (RBD) which consisted of 6 treatments where each treatment was repeated 4 times and each there were 6 plants. The treatments tested were, K0 = Control; K1 = KCL (5 g/plant); K2 = KCI (10 g/plant); K3 = KCI (15 g/plant); K4 = KCI (20 g/plant); K5 = KCI (25 g/plant). KCl fertilization had very significant effect on the diameter of porang stems, significantly effect on the wet weight of micro tubers and wet weight of bullbil, and no significant effect on plant height and number of leaves. The best dose of KCl was 20 g/plant. Polyculture of porang in rubber plantations can increased the production of rubber latex. Keywords : Pottasium, Rubber, Polyculture, Porang.
