PENGARUH BERBAGAI HERBISIDA PRA TUMBUH TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN GULMA DAN TEGAKAN EUKALIPTUS (Eucalyptus pellita)
The purpose of this study was to find out the most effective pre-emergent herbicides for weed control, as well as to evaluate the impact of such pre-emergent herbicides on pre-planting spraying activities on eucalyptus planting areas. This research was conducted at PT. Bumi Andalas Permai from November 2021 to February 2022, located in Sungai Baung, Air Sugihan Subdistrict (-2°43'22.1"S 105°17'14.0"E), Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. The study used the Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 8 treatments and 4 blocks. In each experiment plot there are 24 plants, so the total plant is 768 plants. The treatments were : Control Without pre-emergent herbicides (T1), Isoxaflutole 150 g.ha-1 (T2), Flumioxazine 100 g.ha-1 (T3), Flumioxazine 200 g.ha-1 (T4), Indaziflame & Iodosulfuron 150 g.ha-1 (T5), Indaziflame & Iodosulfuron 250 g.ha-1 (T6), Sulfentrazon 500 ml.ha-1 (T7), Sulfentrazon 750 ml.ha-1 (T8) . The result of this analysis showed that the application of pre-emergent herbicides had a very significant effect on weed cover, and significantly affected on weed dry weight. And no significant effect on plant height, stem diameter, leaf number, brunch number, and crown width showed no significant effect. The best treatment of herbicides to suppress for weed growth was at Flumioxazine 200 g.ha-1 (T4). There were 42,56 % of total weed cover and 230,22 g of weed dry weight that dominated by broadleaves Trema aspera with SDR value of 50 %. The use of more doses of the same active ingredient tends to show better results in suppressing weed growth.
