RESPON VARIETAS TANAMAN PADI TERHADAP SISTEM POLIKULTUR DENGAN TANAMAN KARET (Hevea brasiliensis Muell. Arg)
The aims of this study were optimize space for rubber row, study the response of paddy varieties to the environmental conditions of rubber row, and study for effect of paddy polyculture on 16 years old rubber plants. The research was carried out at the rubber research plantation (3°13'56.4S 104°38'13.3 E), Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra, from November 2021 to April 2022, The study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 6 treatments of paddy varieties, Inpago 8 (P1), Inpago 10 (P2), Inpari 32 (P3), Inpari 42 (P4), Local Kalimantan (P5), and Local Melati (P6). In this study also compared responsed of rubber plants to the conditions row was plowed and cultivation paddy (G1), row was plowed and not polycultured (G2), row not plowed and not polycultured (G3). In general, the soil conditions at the study site had a pH between 4.21-4.54. Conditions of average light intensity between 24.226-35.465 lux/month. The results of the analysis of varians rubber showed that the polyculture activity on the rubber plantation had a significant effect on the fresh weight of latex and had no significant effect on the growth of stem. Anova for paddy showed that rubber row had a significantly for effect on plant height and grain weight, and not significantly for leaf fresh weight, leaf dry weight, root weight, length. roots, number of productive tillers, number of grains. Inpago 8 paddy variety has relatively good growth in polyculture conditions with rubber plants. Keywords Paddy, Rubber, Polyculture, Shade
