This study aims to describe the factors that cause learning difficulties of 7th grade students in social studies subjects at SMP Negeri 6 Indralaya Utara during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research is quantitative descriptive. The population in this study were all 7th grade students at SMP Negeri 6 Indralaya Utara in the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year, totaling 86 people. The sample in this study was taken using a purposive sampling technique which was determined with a special characteristic value below the KKM or equivalent to 70, so that there were 40 students who each came from 7th grade 1 as many as 13 people, 7th grade 2 as many as 14 people and 7th grade 3 as many as 13 people. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires, interviews and documentation studies. The data analysis technique used is divided into two, namely quantitative analysis used for questionnaires and documentation studies, qualitative data analysis techniques for analyzing interview results. The results of each indicator have a different percentage, on the internal factor indicator students get 78.99% in the high category, the family environmental factor indicator gets 82.38% in the high category, the learning environment factor indicator 75.23% in the high enough category and community environmental factors of 81.2% in the high category, overall the learning difficulties of 7th grade students at SMP Negeri 6 Indralaya Utara during the Covid-19 pandemic earned a percentage of 79.4% in the high category. Based on this research, it is recommended for educators and schools to work together with parents so that they can always prioritize learning and education for students so that they can be more controlled
