This study aim to determine the locus of control of students in the eleventh class of SMAN 1 Sungailiat. In this study, a quantitative approach with a descriptive method is used. The data collection technique used was a locus of control psychological scale of the Guttman scale type. The sample in this study was 181 the eleventh class students of SMAN 1 Sungailiat in the academic year 2021/2022. This study uses the descriptive statistical data analysis. The results of the study from the locus of control of the eleventh class students of SMAN 1 Sungailiat in the academic year 2021/2022 obtained that (9%) students were in the internal category, (81%) students were in the internal-external gradation category, and (10%) students in the external category. It can be concluded that the locus of control of eleventh class students of SMAN 1 Sungailiat in the academic year 2021/2022 belongs to the internal-external gradation category.
