This study aims to determine the composition of the planting medium of soil, husk charcoal and cow manure on the response to growth and yield of chicory. This research was conducted from March 2021 to May 2021. The design used in this study was a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 7 treatments and 3 replications. Each treatment unit consisted of 3 plants, so there were 61 plants. The treatments were P0 = Control (100% soil), P1 = 1:1:1 (soil: husk charcoal: cow manure), P2 = 1:2:1 (soil: husk charcoal: cow manure ), P3 = 1:1:2 (soil: husk charcoal: cow manure), P4 = 2:1:1 (soil: husk charcoal: cow manure), P5 = 2:1:0 (soil: husk charcoal : cow manure), P6 = 2:0:1 (soil: husk charcoal: cow manure). The yield showed that the best treatment was P2 = 1:2:1 (soil: husk charcoal: cow manure), where in the midrib length variable with an average value of 20.65 cm, the number of fronds with an average value of 8.20 , and in the second best treatment is P3 where the variable fresh weight of the crop with an average value of 55.33 g, root wet weight with an average value of 1.56 g, root dry weight with an average value of 0.33 g, and at The second best treatment was leaf area in treatment P1 with an average value of 36.50, and in treatment P6 = 2:0:1 (soil: husk charcoal,: cow manure) the best was at the greenery level of the leaves with an average value of 31, 39. Keywords: Chicory plant, cow manure, husk charcoal
