EVALUASI KARAKTER PERTUMBUHAN DAN PRODUKSI PADI VARIETAS INPAGO 5, INPARA 8 DAN BC1F1

This study aims to evaluate the growth and production of rice varieties of Inpago 5, Inpara 8, and its accessions of BC1F1 resulted from the crossing of Inpago 5 and Inpara 8 varieties under non-submerged conditions. The research was carried out at the greenhouse of Department of Agricultural Cultivation, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The research was carried out from April to June 2021. The research used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with each treatment consisted of 3 replications. Furthermore, the analysis was continued with Anova and the Least Significant Difference (LSD) test. The treatment of this research was rice accession and rice varieties, namely V1= Inpago 5, V2= Inpara 8 and V3= BC1F1. The observed variables showed that plant height, panicle number, panicle length, weight of pithy grain per panicle, percentage of empty grain, grain length, dry weight of stover, harvest index were significantly different and leaf greenness level, weight of pithy grain per clump, weight of 100 grains, the number of pithy grain per clump, age of harvest, grain width, dry weight of pithy grain were very significantly different. The variable of number of tillers and the number of pithy grain per panicle were not significantly different. The results of this study showed that BC1F1 accesion did not yet have a maximum production compared to Inpara 8 in swamp land without submerged conditions.
