UJI PENGARUH KELENGUNGAN DAN KECEPATAN BAJAK SINGKAL YANG DILAPISI PLAT STAINLESS STEEL TERHADAP PENGOLAHAN TANAH ULTISOL
This study aims to determine and study the effect of moldboard curvature and working speed of moldboard plow coated by stainless steel plate on tillaging the ultisol soil. The method used in this research was a Factorial Randomized Block Design (FRBD) with two treatment factors, namely the angle of curvature of the plow (A) and the speed of work (B). Each factor consisted of three levels of treatment. The treatment level for the angle of curvature consisted of the angle of curvature 120ᵒ, 130ᵒ, and 140ᵒ while the treatment level for the working speed of the plow consisted of a working speed of 2 km/hour, a working speed of 3 km/hour, and a working speed of 4 km/hour. The results showed that the short curvature and working speed of plowing had a significant effect on the yield of soil stickiness (g), working depth of plowing (cm), plowing height (cm), working width of plowing (cm), and plowing width (cm). The combination of treatment with a single angle of curvature of 140ᵒ and a speed of 4 km/hour resulted in the lowest average soil adhesiveness of 16.30 g. The combination of 120ᵒ curvature angle treatment and 4km/hour speed resulted in the highest average plow working depth, plowing height, plow working width, and plowing width being 12.33 cm, 10.67cm, 20.33 cm, respectively , and 21.67 cm.
