This study aims to determine the perception of the indigenous people of Tolak Bala in Karang Gede Village, Attitude District in Empat Lawang Regency. This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive method, sampling using purvosive sampling with the type of Non-Probability Sampling and data collection is carried out through questionnaires and documentation. The population in this study amounted to 228 people, using Slovin's theory with an error rate of 10% so that a sample of 70 people was obtained. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that the community's perception of the traditional rejection of reinforcements in Karang Gede Village, Attitudes in Empat Lawang Regency, is negative. This can be proven from the average score of the four indicators that have been studied including the perception of the first indicator of 57.02%, the perception of the second indicator of 54.10%, the perception of the third indicator of 66.75% and the perception of the fourth indicator by 64.83%, with a total average percentage of 60.67%. Previously it has been determined that if the score is more than () 62.5%, it means that it is included in the category of positive perception, while a score of less than (≤) 62.5% means that it is included in the category of negative perception. The results of this study are included in the category of negative perceptions because the average percentage is less than the predetermined assessment criteria.
