This study aims to determine the empowerment efforts for songket weaving craftsmen in Burai Village, Tanjung Batu District, Ogan Ilir Regency. The indicators in this study are efforts to develop the potential of songket weaving craftsmen, strengthen businesses, and protect the business of songket weaving craftsmen. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The subjects in this study amounted to 5 people consisting of, the village head, the head of the songket weaving group, and three songket craftsmen. The data collection method in this study was conducted by interview and documentation. The results showed that efforts in developing the potential of songket weaving craftsmen were carried out through socialization and training activities, but for the training activities provided were still not optimally implemented because songket weaving craftsmen were still unable to apply the results of the training. Furthermore, it can be seen from the efforts to strengthen the business of songket weaving craftsmen through the procurement of loans for raw materials for weaving. Finally, efforts to protect the business of songket weaving craftsmen are carried out through promotions and marketing which are carried out when tourists visit Burai Village. This promotional and marketing activity is enough to help weaving craftsmen in maintaining their business continuity, which can be seen from the increase in orders for songket woven fabrics.
