HUBUNGAN HIPERTENSI, DIABETES MELITUS, DAN PENYAKIT JANTUNG KORONER DENGAN KEJADIAN GAGAL JANTUNG DI RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG
Background: Heart failure is one of health problems with high prevalence, poor clinical manifestation, and high treatment expense. Hypertension, diabetes mellitus (DM), and coronary heart disease (CHD) are known as etiologic factor of heart failure in some previous studies. Three of them can singly or jointly affect pathogcncsis of heart failure. Objective: The aim of this study was to know the correlation of hypertension, DM, and CHD with heart failure cases in inpatient heart disease patients of RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang Method: This was an analytic observational study with cross-sectional design, by using secondary data from medical records of heart disease patients in RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang, January-December 2012. Medical records used were those who fulfilled the participation eriteria, taken with census method. Data was analyzed by univariate. bivariate, and multivariate analysis. Result: In heart failure patients, there were 73.3% patients had hypertension history, 28.3% had DM history and the rest 50,6% had PJK history. Hypertension had worth correlation with heart failure cases (p=Q.0Q0, OR=1.901, CI95%= 1,351-2,676). DM (p=0,060, OR=l,412, CI95%=0,985-2,023) and CHD (p=0,818, OR=0,964, CI95%=0,704-1,319) had no worth correlation with heart failure cases. The most risky factor found was hypertension. Conclusion: There was a worth correlation of hypertension with heart failure cases, while DM and CHD were not. The most risky factor found hypertension.
