HUBUNGAN NILAI CD4, USIA, DAN JENIS KELAMIN DENGAN PREVALENSI TUBERKULOSIS PARU PADA PASIEN HIV/AIDS
Background: Tuberculosis is the most common opportunistic infection in HIV/AIDS patients in Indonesia. The risk of death in HIV patients with tuberculosis (HIV-TB) is approximately three to seven times higher than in uninfected individuals and two times higher than in HIV/AIDS patients without tuberculosis. Methods: This is a cross-sectional study of the HIV/AIDS patients at Paviliun Melati RSUP dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. HIV/AIDS patients were classified as HIVTB and HIV non TB. The data were analyzed with Chi square and contingency coefficient to fmd a correlation between CD4 count, age, gender and the prevalence of pulmonary tuberculosis in HIV/AIDS patients. Results: The number of HIV/AIDS patients at Paviliun Melati RSUP dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang between 2008 and 2012 is 415. The prevalence of pulmonary tuberculosis in HIV/AIDS patients at Paviliun Melati RSUP dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang is 16,9%. From 70 HIV-TB patients, 100% had a CD4 count
