The study focused on the role of MGMP in supporting the implementation of online learning. Furthermore, it investigates high school English teachers’ perception. The participants of this qualitative study involved eight high school English teachers from SMA and SMK in Ogan Ilir District who joined English MGMP. The interview was used as the data collection tools. Then 26 semi-structured questions were conducted to ask further about English teachers’ participation in MGMP. The results showed that all of the perceived experiences of participating in MGMP are improving the quality of teachers' professional competence in planning, implementing, and testing/evaluating classroom learning. Moreover, it can seek to improve and equalize the quality of education in schools.
