This study aims to find out the effects of the addition of different types of swamp forage on the physical quality and phytochemical analysis of benggala grass-based rations. The constituent ingredients of rations consist of Pannicum maximum, Neptunia oleracea Lour , Eleocharis dulcis, Salvina natans, rice bran, cornstarch, tofu pulp, mineral mix, salt and urea. This research was carried out in May to November 2021 at the Nutrition and Livestock Feed Laboratory of the Livestock Technology and Industry Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture and Pharmaceutical Laboratory, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Sriwijaya University. The study used a complete random design (RAL) with 4 treatments and 4 repeats. The treatment consists of R0 (70% Benggala Grass + 30% Concentrate), R1 (40% Benggala Grass + 30% Concentrate + 30% Neptunia oleracea Lour), R2 (40% Benggala Grass + 30% Concentrate + 30% Salvina natans), R3 (40% Benggala Grass + 30% Concentrate + 30% Eleocharis dulcis). The parameters observed on the physical quality test are type weight, stack density, moisture absorption and moisture content. While the parameters of phytochemical analysis are tannins and saponins. The results of this study showed that the treatment had a real effect (P0.05) on water absorption and moisture content. The results of phytochemical analysis showed that all positive samples contained tannins and saponins. The conclusion of this study was obtained that the treatment with the best combination is R3 treatment with the comination of 40% Benggala Grass + 30% Concentrate + 30% Eleocharis dulcis. The R3 treatment ration can improve the physical quality of the ration. Qualitative tests showed that the rations combined with different swamp forages contained phytochemical compounds of saponins and tannins.
