Lebak swamp lands are swamps on the left and right sides of large rivers and their tributaries, with a flat topography, flooded during the rainy season, and dry during the dry season. Irrigation is the flow of water on the ground to help regulate the availability of water due to insufficient rainfall so that water can be optimally available for plant growth. Irrigation is an act of moving water from its source to agricultural lands, while the distribution can be done by gravity or with the help of a water pump. This research was carried out from March to September 2022. In the Greenhouse of the Soil Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya. The analysis was carried out at the Physics, Conservation, Survey and Evaluation Laboratory of the Soil Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya. The method used in this study is the experimental method with direct observation and work in the field. The parameters observed in this study were the length of time it took for the water to saturate the soil by looking directly at it in the field (soil wetness), observing the distribution of water and the volume of water released and testing plant adaptation to conditions of high and shallow water levels and plant growth. In this study, in the application of subsurface micro irrigation applications suitable for use in the development of horticultural crops in lebak swamp soils and in the performance of subsurface micro irrigation applications, the distance between the reservoir and the sample bucket in lebak swamp soil has no effect on the development of horticultural crops.
