This study aims to determine the effect of physical and chemical scarification treatment on germination grape seed (Vitis vinifera .L) husk charcoal media. The research was carried out from December 2021 to April 2022 in Sukamulya village, Semendawai Suku III, Ogan Komering Ulu Timur Regency, South Sumatera. The methode used in this study was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treathments and 5 replications. The treatments used included control treatment (P1) cutting using nail clippers (P2), soaking in onion (Alium ceppa L) ekstract (P3), and soaking in water 80o C. The seedling medium used was husk charcoal mixed with soil in a ratio of 1:1. The results showed that the best treatment in the germination of grape seed was physical scarification treatment by cutting the seed coat using nail clippers. The germination rate was 90.4% at 6 day after sowing (DAS) and 11.2% at 8 day after sowing (DAS), growth rate was 0,08%, simultaneous growth was 7.4 %, vigor indeks 59.40%, plumule length 1940 mm, and redicle length 2870 mm.
