ANALISIS PEMASARAN KELAPA (Cocos Nucifera L.) DI LAHAN PASANG SURUT DESA TELUK PAYO KECAMATAN BANYUASIN II KABUPATEN BANYUASIN
Marketing is an activity carried out by a person or institution to market and sell goods or services to consumers. Marketing margin is the difference between prices at the producer and consumer levels. Marketing efficiency is the ability of marketing services to deliver products from producers to consumers fairly by providing satisfaction for all parties involved for the same product. The objectives of this study were: (1) to describe the coconut marketing functions, institutions, and channels in the tidal lowland of Teluk Payo Village, Banyuasin II District, Banyuasin Regency: and (2) to calculate the margin and measure the efficiency of coconut marketing in the tidal lowland of Teluk Payo Village, Banyuasin II District, Banyuasin Regency. This research was conducted in November 2021 covering 90 farmers who carried out coconut farming. Data were collected through face-to-face interview using questionnaires. Data were processed using SPSS software. The research results obtained were: (1) coconut marketing at Teluk Payo Village was considered good in marketing function, eventhough there was no management function. There were three marketing institutions, namely farmers or producers, local traders, and buyers or end consumers. Coconut marketing in Teluk Payo Village only has one channel, namely farmers - local traders - consumers; and (2) coconut marketing in Teluk Payo Village, Banyuasin II District, Banyuasin Regency can be considered efficient.
