This study aims to determine the performance of a DC pump using a solar panel without a battery as an energy source based on the intensity of sunlight absorbed by the solar panel. This research was conducted at the Faculty of Agriculture, Indralaya Campus, Sriwijaya University. With details of the location of the Laboratory of Machinery, Engineering, Soil and Water, Department of Agricultural Technology and Swimming, Department of Soil Science. This research was conducted from November 2021 to April 2022.The method used in this study is a descriptive method with the data displayed in the form of images and tables. This research was conducted for 2 days, data was taken every day at 11.00, 13.00, 15.00 with each treatment length of 15 minutes. The results showed that the highest flow rate and volume of water produced by a DC pump using a solar panel without a battery as an energy source on a PVC pipe raft was at 13.00, the highest water flow and volume was obtained on the first day at 13.00, namely the flow rate of 7.53 L/m and the volume obtained is 112.94 L with a sunlight intensity value of 1387 W/m2. The flow of water produced is in accordance with the intensity of sunlight, the greater the intensity of sunlight, the greater the flow of water and the volume of water produced. The use of a DC pump using a solar panel without a battery as an energy source is best used at 13.00 because at 13.00 the value of the sun's light intensity is higher.
