KONSENTRASI ASAM LEMAK RANTAI PENDEK DAN PRODUKSI GAS PADA AMONIASI RUMPUT MOMBACA (PANICUM MAXIMUM VAR MOMBACA) SECARA IN VITRO
This research was aimed to study the concentration of short chain fatty acids and gas production in vitro on ammoniated mombaca grass. This research was carried out for 14 days in the Nutrition and Animal Feed Lab, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Animal Technology and Industry, Animal Husbandry Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The research design used in this study is that this study consisted of 4 treatments, each treatment repeated 6 times. The treatments were differentiated based on the ammonia treatment on Mombaca grass P0(Mombaca Grass + concentrate = 70% : 30%), P1(Mombaca Grass Ammoniated + Concentrate = 70%:30%) P2(Mombaca Grass Ammoniated + Concentrate = 80% : 20%) , P3 (Mombaca Grass Ammoniated + Concentrate = 90% : 10%). The parameters observed in this study were Total Short Chain Fatty Acid Concentration and Gas Production. The data obtained will then be analyzed using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The results of the study concluded that the treatment with a combination of ammonia and concentrate on mombaca grass was able to increase the total short chain fatty acids from 67.09 mM (P0) to 137.38 mM (P3) and was able to increase gas production in the P2 treatment.
