EKSTRAK DAUN TERATAI SEBAGAI KANDIDAT OBAT HERBAL UNTUK PENYAKIT MOTILE AEROMONAS SEPTICEMIA PADA IKAN LELE
Catfish (Clarias gariepinus) widely cultivated because it has high environmental adaptation capabilities, but in the development of aquaculture bacterial disease attacks become obstacles. The purpose of this study is to found out the potential of lotus leaf extract as a drug candidate in fish infected with Motile Aeromonas Septicemia (MAS) disease so that alternative herbal medicine are available to overcome these obstacles. This research was conducting on the Aquaculture Laboratory, Experimental Pond Laboratory, Department of Fisheries, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sriwijaya, in February-March 2022. The research design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of five treatments of different ekstrak concentrations with three replications, each of these treatments included control treatment (PK) 0 mg L-1 or not given extract, 50 mg L-1 (P1), 700 mg L-1 (P2), 1400 mg L-1 (P3) and 2100 mg L-1 (P4). The results showed that lotus leaf extract had a noticeable influence on catfish infected with A. hydrophila bacteria. Soaking with a concentration of 700 mg L-1 (P2) is the best concentration, as can be seen from the results of studies that get survival, weight and length growth.
