MANIFESTASI KLINIS DEMAM BERDARAH DENGUE (DBD) PADA PASIEN DEWASA DI BAGIAN PENYAKIT DALAM FK UNSRI/RUMAH SAKIT MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG INDONESIA PERIODE JANUARI - DESEMBER 2010
Dengue fever is an infectious disease transmitted by the mosquito Aedes aegypti. Dengue Hemorrhagic fever is characterized by sudden onset fever 2-7 days without obvious cause, weakness, decreased appetite, nausea, vomiting, muscle pain accompanied by signs of bleeding in the skin such as bleeding spots (petechiae). Sometimes nosebleeds, decreased consciousness or shock. Dengue Fever or Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever is a disease caused by dengue virus infection and still remains as public health problem in Indonesia. The method of study is a retrospective descriptive study. The research data obtained from medical records and presented in narrative form as well as complete tables. The study found 133 cases of DHF. Most of the patients aged 13-23 years (72.2%). Clinical manifestation that may include fever (70.6%) with most patients (57.8%) had a fever for 2-4 before hospitalization, headache (51.9%), decreased appetite (57.1%), nausea (76.7%), vomiting (51.1%), myalgia (20.3%), abdominal pain (14.3%), positive toumiquet test (60.1%), petechiae (28.6%), gum bleeding (2.3% ), epistaxis (4.5%), hematemesis (0.8%) and hepatomegaly (0.8%). From the results of laboratory tests, patients with DHF as many have normal leukocyte and leukocytosis (46.6%), normal lymphocytes (70.6%), thrombocytopenia (54.1%), and hematocrit
