TINGKAT KEPATUHAN TES HIV PADA KLIEN VCT ULANG BERDASARKAN TINGKAT PENDIDIKAN FORMAL DI RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG PERIODE AGUSTUS 2004 - NOVEMBER 2011
Background: Voluntary Counselling and Testing (VCT) is one of public health strategies as an entry into the health care of HIV/AIDS. As a very worrying disease, HIV/AIDS should be diagnosed as early as possible to prevent transmission. This study w as aimed to know the dijference of adherence level of HIV testing in repeated VCT clients according to educational level in Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Hospital Palembang. Methods: This study w as an analitic survey research with cross-sectional design. Samples of this study were all of repeated VCT clients that satisfy inclusion criterias there were 41 clients. This study w as conducted in VCT Clinic of Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Hospital Palembang. Data were collected through observation of secondary data those were recapitulation book clients. Statistical analysis used in this study was Chi Square test, with significant level 10% or a = 0.10. Results: From 41 clients, there were 20 clients with low - medium educational level, 6 clients among them were in the category of non-adherent, 6 less adherent, and 8 adhered. Then, there were 21 clients with high educational level, 5 clients among them were in the category of non-adherent, 7 less adherent, and 9 adhered. Statistical analysis showed that p value was 0,904 or >0,10. Conclusion: This study showed there was no the dijference of adherence level of HIV testing in repeated VCT clients according to educational level in Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Hospital Palembang.
