PENERAPAN GOOD AGRICULTURAL PRACTICES DALAM PERKEBUNAN KELAPA RAKYAT UNTUK MENDUKUNG PERTANIAN BERKELANJUTAN DI LAHAN PASANG SURUT DESA TELUK PAYO KECAMATAN BANYUASIN II KABUPATEN BANYUASIN
Coconut (Cocos nucifera) is a plant whose almost all parts have benefits and are in great demand in neighboring countries. Coconut commodity has penetrated the export market, so it is necessary to pay attention to good agricultural standardization, Good Agricultural Practices. This study aims to (1) describe the current condition of the application of GAP on smallholder coconut plantations on tidal land, (2) describe the level of application of GAP on smallholder coconut plantations to support sustainable agriculture on tidal land and (3) analyze the effect of applying GAP on coconut production in tidal areas. This research was carried out in the tidal land of Teluk Payo Village, Banyuasi II District, Bayuasin Regency in November 2021. The data in this study are primary and secondary. The condition of applying good agricultural practices (GAP) can be seen in the coconut cultivation process carried out by farmers by the guidelines for good cultivation techniques. The level of application of good agricultural practices (GAP) is in the average category (medium), so smallholder coconut plantations on tidal lands in Teluk Payo Village are sufficient to support sustainable coconut farming. The effect (GAP) on coconut production is simultaneously significant. The independent variable (X1-X12) affects the dependent variable (Y) by 24,4%, and the remaining 75,6% is influenced by other variables. The value of R Square is still very low because there are variables that cannot be analyzed. After all, the values are not varied enough and there is a standard error in this study, namely when data collection farmers tend to give the same answer. However, location requirements (natural factors) have a positive influence on coconut production.
